Selected work

Not a gallery of screens. These are examples of how I identify the real problem, make hard product decisions, align teams and drive outcomes.

Turning referrals into a growth engine

Built a value-gated referral loop to prove real market demand to investors. Rewards only unlocked after both users created meaningful value: deposit, 3 transactions and virtual-card creation.

Building an AI basketball coach from zero

Built the full product end to end — front end, backend and admin dashboard — then ran a 6-week academy pilot in Kenya that showed meaningful athletic and training-literacy improvement. Now in Android closed testing.

Launching Food Delivery under extreme constraints

Led a four-person design team across three products, aligned stakeholders and used a simplified RICE model to protect a 2–3 month MVP timeline.

Gamifying the banking experience

Turned financial literacy into engagement: trivia taught users how banking differs from M-PESA, while in-app actions earned points that could be redeemed for airtime and discounts — creating a closed value loop.

Tegeka worker app

From research exercise to leadership role

An independent Kampala service-design study became part of my application. I landed the Head of Product & Design role, then worked on the worker marketplace experience.

Digitising Kenya’s “mchango” without designing for Silicon Valley

Mapped the realities of community fundraising — trust, WhatsApp overload, M‑Pesa, feature phones and verification — into an inclusive product concept with channel, KPI and monetisation thinking.

Why teams hire me

My range is unusual because I can operate at three levels at once: understand the customer, shape the product system and connect it back to business value.

01 · Strategy

I connect product decisions to the business.

Growth, activation, transaction depth, retention, monetisation, capacity and investor expectations are part of the same product conversation.

02 · Craft

I still understand the details.

My design background means I can go from executive strategy to user flows, copy, interaction design and research without losing the thread.

03 · Execution

I can build when the team is incomplete.

I have led multidisciplinary teams, operated without PMs, created operating models and — with BallBrain — built the product stack and admin tooling end to end.

04 · Context

I know emerging markets are not copy-paste markets.

Building in Africa taught me to design around real infrastructure, behaviour, trust, payments and access constraints instead of importing assumptions from Europe or the US.

How I lead

Strong product leadership is a system.

01
Start with the business problem.

Features are outputs. I want the team to understand the customer behaviour and business metric we are trying to change.

02
Make trade-offs visible.

Capacity is always finite. I use prioritisation frameworks, evidence and explicit constraints so teams know why we are saying “not now”.

03
Give teams context, not tickets.

Clear strategy, ownership and success measures create better execution than centralising every decision with the CPO.

04
Design is a business capability.

Good design reduces friction, creates trust and improves conversion, retention and operational efficiency. It belongs in strategy conversations.

05
Ship, learn, improve.

I am comfortable moving from messy zero-to-one problems to structured operating cadence without pretending uncertainty has disappeared.

From craft to product leadership.

My career started in design and evolved into product strategy, team leadership, growth, fintech and founder-level execution. That craft foundation still shapes how I make product decisions.

Next chapter

Need someone who can own the problem, not just the roadmap?

I’m interested in senior product leadership roles — Head of Product, Director of Product, VP Product or CPO — in ambitious companies that value strong product thinking, design quality and execution. Remote-first, globally flexible.
